Meet my sculpture teacher at Lucasfilm – Richard Miller
A bit more on his work as a sculptor at ILM..
While I was at Lucasfilm I attended Richard Miller’s sculpture class and my time there was one of my favorite memories of Lucasfilm. We used to sculpt in clay from life models and enjoyed many of Richard’s stories from his time working on Star Wars. He created the famous Princess Lea bikini outfit. Richard’s favorite saying was – “Always push the clay up, because it ends up coming down anyway, because of gravity.”
