What really struck me about the new Star Wars movie is how Ralph McQuarrie-esque it all looked. Ralph McQuarrie’s art has aged very well and although the concept pieces have a retro feel to them – they are still very compelling and present 40 years later.
George Lucas gets very little credit for conceiving one of the most visually compelling realities ever committed to screen.. other than our own.
